![]() ![]() I've been consistently impressed by the device. Switching between proton GE and Steam OS I've made many, many "unsupported" games play just fine. Not sure when you had your Deck but of the 100 or so games I have cycled through mine I have had about 2 that would outright crash and another couple that had some controller input issue. This same situation occurs if the Deck is on and I connect it to the Dock, and the solution is still to disconnect the power, wait for the monitor to display, and then connect the power. Right so I already have a JSAUX docking station on the TV to use with controller however I also have a docking station that I use for my work laptop on my desk. A working solution is to unplug the power from the Dock, see the HDMI connect, and then connect power. I had mine in the first month after release, and then I might have agreed with you, but in the past few months the experience has improved dramatically. The Deck's screen is blank, but so is the monitor. Until Valve can get somewhere in the realm of half of all titles playable and 95% of new titles, the steam deck will remain a niche of a niche product. I have a stoopid number of games of which only about a 1/6 th of were "playable" and only a third of those were "verified". I thought the deck was too big but after playing a few different games it really isn’t. ![]() Coming from being a console gamer since the days of the Genesis, I’m really impressed with the hardware and software. I wanted to love it but I still felt a bit like I was in an open beta test. I finally joined the Steam deck community Saw someone on marketplace selling a mint 64 GB model with the dock and was able to get it. Yet.I had my steam deck just about two weeks before I returned it.
